Warning!
The software is distributed solely for the purposes of documentation and is not designed to support clinical decisions in the treatment and diagnosis of humans.
Connecting the power supply cord of a PC to the wall socket may cause the leakage current in the system to exceed the limit specified for medical equipment. A
mains powered PC should be supplied from an isolation transformer. Remember the RS232 cable connects the PC to the Vigilance Monitor, and thus indirectly to the patient.
It is strongly recommended that an Electrical Safety Inspection Test be carried out on any mains power supplied computer on which the driver software is installed. This
should be carried out according to AS/NZS Standard 3551:1996 or equivalent.
Introduction
The Edwards Vigilance Data Logger software is a stand-alone application that allows a PC to monitor and record data sent from a Vigilance CCO Monitor. This
manual covers Edward’s current software (version 5.02E) and it’s latest release (version 6.00) that adds further functionality to the user interface and three new parameters, EDV
(End Diastolic Volume), ESV (End Systolic Volume) and EF (Ejection Fraction).
This driver will greatly enhance the clinical use of the Vigilance Monitor, since patient data can now be archived and viewed after a study. Further data
manipulation and graphing can also be carried out using standard PC applications such as Excel.
