Plasmodium falciparum?

Sorry!  Try again.

You obviously noted that the infected red cell was not enlarged, however this rather nice gametocyte is clearly not P.falciparum.

Try again after refreshing your memory with the Diagnosis images, if necessary.

Plasmodium malariae?

Correct!  Good work.

Did you notice that the red cell in which this rather nice gametocyte is situated, is not enlarged and also the tendency for the gametocyte to appear as a "band form"?
