Plasmodium falciparum?

Correct!  Well done.

After the last difficult test, a much easier one but thought we would like to share this rather nice image with two gametocytes; a female or macrogametocyte on the left (did you note the compact nuclear chromatin?) and a male or microgametocyte on the right with a much more diffuse nuclear chromatin.

There are two very distinctive parasites in this field.  Have another look after first referring to the images in the Diagnosis section if necessary.
