Plasmodium falciparum?

Correct!  A very good effort.

This marginal form appears to be almost outside of the red cell.  It is sometimes described as a "blister" form.

A confirmatory "dipstick" test would be
particularly valuable in cases like this.

Plasmodium vivax?

Sorry!  Have another attempt.

Note particularly the size of the infected red cell and the position of the parasite within the cell.

Wouldn't a "dipstick" test be useful?

Plasmodium ovale?

Sorry!  Have another attempt.

Note particularly the size of the infected red cell and the position of the parasite within the cell.

Wouldn't a "dipstick" test be useful?

Plasmodium malariae?

Sorry!  Have another look.

You obviously noted the size of the infected red cell.  Try again and note particularly the position of the parasite within the cell.

Wouldn't a "dipstick" test be useful?

Malarial parasites not seen?

Sorry!  Have another look.

There is one parasite towards the centre of this field and even though not strictly typical, it should be easy to see.

Have another try noting particularly the size of the infected red cell and the position of the parasite within the cell.

Wouldn't a "dipstick" test be useful?
