Plasmodium falciparum?

Sorry!  Try again.

Have another look and ignoring the mild rouleaux formation of the red cells, look closely for any obvious parasites paying particular attention to the "blue clump" towards the middle of the field.

Malarial parasites not seen?

Correct!  Very well done.

Even though vaguely shaped in a daisy head pattern, the "blue clump" towards the centre of the field is quite obviously a platelet clump.  This can be simply artefactual as a result of the anticoagulant into which the blood was collected.
