Plasmodium falciparum?

Correct!  Good work!

Not an especially well stained film, but should still have
been very easy.  Did you note the typical falciparum features
ie. infected red cells not enlarged, fine delicate ring forms,
marginal forms and double chromatin dots?

Plasmodium vivax?

Sorry!  Have another look at this film.

Even though this would not be the best stained blood film,
there are enough salient features present to allow a reliable
species identification to be made.

Try again and note particularly the size of the infected red cell,
in relation to the non-infected red cells.  There are also a
number of marginal forms and double chromatin dots.
