The infected red cells are all enlarged (x3)
and contain developing parasites.

Correct!

Did you note the enlarged infected red cells and
the three developing forms of the P. vivax?

Plasmodium ovale?

Sorry!  Have another look.

Even though the red cells are enlarged, there
is no evidence of comet forms and note the history.

Plasmodium malariae?

Sorry!  Have another look.

The infected red cells are all enlarged (x3)
and contain developing parasites.

Malarial parasites not seen?

Sorry!  Have another look.

There are three parasites in this field, all within enlarged
red cells.  Have another look and try to identify the species
before moving on to the next image.
