Junior Medical Staff Positions

Junior doctors include Interns (PGY 1), Residents (PGY 2 - 4), Registrars and Fellowships. Junior Doctor rotations occur on site at RPH as well as rotations to offsite metropolitan and regional hospitals in Western Australia.

The Hospital offers a broad range of experience in all clinical fields of adult medicine (except Obstetrics and Gynaecology). As a leading teaching hospital and the State Trauma and Burns Centre in Western Australia, RPH provides excellent educational and skill development opportunities for junior doctors.

    • Shenton Park Campus (approx 170 beds) - is located 6km west of Perth city. Scenic Kings Park and the Swan River are close to both campuses. Coastal beaches are only 12 kms away.
  • Royal Perth Hospital is a leading teaching and research facility treating about 73,000 in-patients and about 380,000 outpatient occasions a year. It has one of the busiest Emergency Departments in Australia, with more than 58,000 presentations a year.
