Urology

The Urology Department offers a urological service for emergency presentations, inpatients and outpatients of Royal Perth Hospital. The service specialises in uro-oncology, stone disease, benign prostatic hyperplasia, incontinence, voiding dysfunction and reconstructive urology.

Services include:

  • haematuria clinic
  • stone clinic
  • nurse-led continence service
  • telehealth service for country patients.

We will soon be the first and only public hospital in Western Australia to offer laser prostatectomy.

If you have a urological problem please discuss with your General Practitioner, or if urgent, go to the Emergency Department.

Please direct all urology referrals to the Central Referral Service (CRS) unless a review is required in less than seven days. Please discuss these cases by calling hospital switchboard on 9224 2244 and paging the on-call urology registrar.
