<li> interactive consultant facilitated topics in Emergency Medicine; <li> small group tutorials aimed at respective Primary and Fellowship examination candidates; <li> presentations on interesting cases. </li> </ul> <p class="main"> The Emergency Department contributes monthly to hospital Trauma Grand Rounds and quarterly to Medical Grand Rounds. <br><br> We also have regular interactive workshops including: <ul type="square" class="normal"> <li> paediatric resuscitation mornings (ACEM accredited) that are hosted by the Emergency Department at Swan District Hospital; <li> practical emergency procedures sessions (conducted with Trauma Services at RPH); <li> crisis management scenarios (hosted by CTEC (Clinical Training and Education Centre) at the University of Western Australia); <li> difficult airway sessions (conducted by the Department of Anaesthesia at RPH); <li> recent introduction of the Focused Ultrasound in Emergency Medicine <li> Introductory Course (ACEM accredited) </li> </ul> <p class="main"> In 2006 the ED held the inaugural departmental Research and QA presentation evening. <br><br> The department has a unique link with General Medicine at RPH, having a dual FACEM/FRACP physician working both within the Short Stay Medical Unit (SSMU) and the Emergency Department. <br><br> The Emergency Department has active participation with Medical Students from the University of Western Australia as well as postgraduate nurses involved in Nurse Practitioner training. </p> <!-- End main page content --> <!-- DO NOT ALTER BELOW THIS POINT! --> <br><br> </td></tr></table> <div class="disclaimer" align="center"> <hr size="1" color="#BD2911" width="40%"> <br> &copy;
