Clinical Service

The Department of Clinical Immunology provides a comprehensive clinical and laboratory service for the diagnosis and management of patients with a wide range of medical conditions. Most often these conditions cause, or are caused by, disorders of the immune system.

The Clinical Service of the department is provided by four consultant Clinical Immunologists, three Clinical Immunology Registrars and six nursing staff. They are supported by two Social Workers and a Clinical Psychologist seconded from other Departments. All staff are led by the Head of Clinical Service Prof Martyn French and Clinical Nurse Specialist Ms Esther Edward.
