Success at the 2014 WA Health Excellence Awards

Royal Perth Group shone at the WA Health Excellence Awards on Friday 14 November 2014, bringing home three awards!

The prestigious Director General’s Award, which is awarded to one finalist from the ten award categories, was presented to the Department of Nephrology Renal Transplant Unit for the Closing the Gap in Aboriginal kidney transplants project.

The Closing the Gap project also took out the Aboriginal Health Award. The joint project Improving the care of inherited high cholesterol and risk of heart disease in families, that operates in collaboration with Department of Health, the Cardiovascular Health Network and the South Metropolitan Health Service won the Primary Care Award.

A/Executive Director Dr Aresh Anwar said that success at the awards demonstrates RPH’s continued role as a leader in health care in Western Australia. “It is fantastic to see the hard work of RPH teams and programs recognised at the WA Health Awards,” Dr Anwar said.

“Congratulations to all finalists and winners from RPH, your success is testament to continued excellence and dedication in the delivery of exceptional patient care.”
