RPG takes on the Ice Bucket Challenge

October 3, 2014

Royal Perth Group (RPG) raised more than $8,000 for motor neurone disease (MND) when they accepted the Ice Bucket Challenge from Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital (Charlies).

15 (unlucky) participants from across RPG, including A/Executive Director Dr Aresh Anwar braved the icy cold chill outside Victoria Square to surpass our fundraising goal by more than $3,000.

“In the spirit of a challenge and to beat our colleagues at Charlies, I wasn’t surprised to see RPG staff come together for the good cause,” said Dr Anwar.

“It also helped that this was the one and only chance for staff to tip an icy cold bucket of water over the Executive and see us freeze - without losing their jobs!

“Thank you to the staff who participated in the challenge and the generosity of everyone that donated and helped make the event such a success,” said Dr Anwar.
