New equipment thanks to the Friends of RPH

More than 270 dedicated volunteers are Friends of Royal Perth Hospital.

Our volunteers served more than 7,600 cups of tea and coffee, and raised more than $143,000 to purchase new medical equipment for the hospital in the past financial year.

Through the generous contributions of our volunteers, new patient rescue sheets were for the entire hospital were purchased, as well as new equipment for Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, Theatres and the Emergency Department.

New equipment includes:

  • 6 new stretchers, resuscitation trolley and a diagnostic microscope in the Emergency Department.
  • Bariatric care equipment for the Physiotherapy Department.
  • 3 head calliper systems in Theatres.
  • InterX interactive stimulation in Occupational Therapy.

The Friends of Royal Perth Hospital was established in 1959, and remain an integral part of RPH, offering a familiar, friendly and dependable presence for patients and visitors at the hospital.
