“The Commonwealth Games has an amazing vibe and being part of the Australian team is a wonderful experience,” Rachael said.

While representing Australia keeps Rachael busy, she has always had a passion for helping people and has continued to work as a registered nurse since completing her degree.

“My first graduate rotation was at SPC and I enjoyed it so much that I came back as soon as I could,” she said.

“My colleagues are so supportive and I feel lucky to have the opportunity to pursue my hockey career as well as my nursing career.

“Travelling the world with hockey is great fun, but I always look forward coming back to work.”
